Welcome to the Daylily Growers of Dallas, a member of American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) and AHS Region 6 (Texas and New Mexico). We are also Affiliate Members of the Texas Garden Clubs, Inc, the Dallas North Garden Forum, and the Dallas Council of Garden Clubs. The Daylily Growers of Dallas is a nonprofit educational organization whose purpose is to promote interest in growing the genus Hemerocallis and to conduct research in its breeding and culture.

The Daylily Growers of Dallas is a nonprofit educational organization whose purpose is to promote interest in growing the genus Hemerocallis and to conduct research in its breeding and culture. The Daylily Growers of Dallas has served the Dallas, Texas, community since 1958.

Benefits of joining the Daylily Growers of Dallas include:

  • Monthly Meetings, September through May, offer informative programs about daylilies and their culture.
  • Our annual Daylily Flower Show is one of the premier flower shows in the Dallas area. This year more than 350 entries will compete in horticulture and artistic design categories.
  • Our annual spring and fall Daylily Plant Sales offer quality daylily cultivars at reduced prices.
  • The Hem Line newsletter keeps you informed about upcoming events and news of our members. Members are encouraged to submit articles and share their experiences.
  • Our annual Garden Pilgrimage to area private daylily gardens and AHS Display Gardens offers you the chance to visit many of the area's top daylily gardens at the peak bloom period.
  • Networking with other Hemerocallis enthusiasts at meetings, shows, and other events offers valuable knowledge about daylilies to both beginners and experts alike.
  • Our Yearbook provides you with a listing of our monthly programs, officers, committee chairmen, and a vehicle for contacting all members.
  • The AHS Region 6 Newsletter (covering Texas and New Mexico) brings news of upcoming conventions, horticultural articles, and area clubs three times a year.

Events

Note: Unless otherwise stated, Regular Monthly Meetings are held in the conference room of North Haven Gardens, 7700 Northaven Road, Dallas, Texas. For Regular Meetings, the Business portion of the meeting starts at 10 a.m. and the Program starts at 11 a.m. Meetings are held every month except for June, July, August, and December.

April 18, 2009, Spring Daylily Sale

The Daylily Growers of Dallas will hold it's annual Spring Daylily Plant Sale at North Haven Gardens, 7700 Northaven Road, Dallas, TX on Saturday, April 18th, 2009. The daylily sale begins at 9 a.m. and selections usually sell out before noon. Prices start at $5 for a double fan and all plants are named (registered) cultivars. Photographs and descriptions will be available.
